Finally, Casey Putsch’s dream of having a personal Batmobile has been materialized. Casey Putsch is one of those geeks, who wanted to possess a unique Batmobile. Till now, the Batmobiles have been built with a ‘rescued from the junkyard’ engine but this one is different from them being the only turbine-powered Batmobile in the world.
The Turbine-powered Batmobile
The unique Batmobile is equipped with a Boeing turbo shaft engine taken off from a naval drone helicopter, which produces 385 horses and weighs as less as 2800 pounds (1270kgs). The 4-speed semi –automatic car is shaped on a steel tube monocoque chassis. It has been registered and so is completely safe for the road in the United States. “I have learned a great deal about engineering and gained a wide array of skills from personally preparing and restoring race cars from the last 80 years of automotive history.
