Throughout the day:
The future library location (former Catholic church) will be open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. with Jeanne Lampson (water color painter) and Terry McKendree (woodcarver) set up. In addition, craft tables will be set up all day, persons interested in setting up a craft table should call the Library (347-2115).
The Museum will have a display with many photographs of Russell and some interesting articles to view on the history of Russell.
The new History of Russell book will be available to purchase or order. The book provides the historical information on Russell, South Russell, North Russell, Degrasse, and Clare. The price of the book is $15.00.
The Library will have a display and also offer Russell Christmas bulbs, Rada products and information on the Library.
Russell Village Cemetery Association members will be displaying photographs of work done on the Russell Village (Balsam) Cemetery. Jean and Theron Given have many photographs of the gravestones and the group will be holding a quilt raffle. The Association's work on the Cemetery includes the addition of a fence and a plaque that will placed on a rock at the entrance to the Cemetery.
There will be Pee Wee baseball on the ball field during the day.

| 11:00 A.M. | 5-Person Bed Race - begins at future library location, passes present library and ends at the corner. |
| 11:30 A.M. | Chili Cook-off begins at Russell Town Hall Darren Colton (347-2485) is organizing this event - We're looking for Cooks! |
| 11:30 A.M. | History Scavenger Hunt at Russell Town Hall for ages 8 - 15 Prizes to be given. |
| 1:00 P.M. | Town ceremony at the Russell Town Hall with dignitaries: Senator James Wright, Assemblywoman Deidre Scozzafava, and St. Lawrence County Legislator Fred Morrill. |
| 2:00 P.M. | Fire Department ceremony with dignitaries at the Fire Department. |
| 4:00 P.M. | Cribbage Tournament at Russell Town Hall with Mike Mace (386 - 2384) |
| 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. | Robin Hopper in concert at Russell Town Hall Theater |
